Lose Weight With Oprah Winfrey Fitness Coach and Friend-
Bob Greene's Best Life Diet #1 with Consumer Reports
by Susan Smith
Summer's approaching, gals, and I swore I was going to be at least ten pounds lighter by Memorial Day. Guess what? I'm not, and there's absolutely no excuse for it. It's now time to get serious, healthier, and (yes) thinner. And there's another reason for dropping the pounds...
I've got a high school reunion coming up at the end of summer and need to be drop-dead gorgeous by Labor Day ;-)
As a fan of Oprah, I knew her friend Bob Greene had come out with a new book, The Best Life Diet. The idea is that although the title has "diet" in it, it really is a plan to eat, exercise, and "live your best life." Then, just a few days ago the following press release came across my desk:
"Oprah Winfrey friend and fitness coach Bob Greene's The Best Life Diet was rated top among seven diet books in the June issue of Consumer Reports magazine. It rated the books "based on an expert-panel questionnaire and our own analysis of nutritional quality." The Best Life Diet was listed first in rank order and "got top marks from our reviewers," according to Consumer Reports. The Best Life Diet was ranked higher than other diet books including The South Beach Diet, The Abs Diet, The Sonoma Diet, Ultrametabolism, You On A Diet, and Eat, Drink, & Weigh Less. The Best Life Diet was on bookshelves December 26, 2006, and has currently sold more than 1.6 million copies.
With The Best Life Diet, he presents an easy-to-follow life-long eating plan that empowers readers to take weight off and keep it off, addressing not only readers' nutritional needs but also their activity level. Greene also encourages readers to understand and improve their emotional relationship with eating and food, a critical part in changing the way they eat for the better. The Best Life Diet ($26.00) features 75-100 delicious and healthful recipes, enhanced with a 16-page insert of color photographs. "
As Bill Engvall of Blue Collar Comedy would say, "Heeeerrrre's your sign... "
So I visited the The Best Life website and signed up for 3 months, which will put me exactly where I need to be by Labor Day and at my best for the reunion. For anyone interested, I'll be chronicling my progress on the Women's Work blog. Also, I invite you to join me as a Women's Work Weight Loss Buddy so we can help one another achieve our goals. Just go to the blog and let me know that's what you want to do.
And if you're looking for some great help, visit Bob Greene's The Best Life website. It's loaded with great information, and you can get a free Diet Profile while you're there (it's on the home page to the right of Bob's picture).
Looking forward to lightening up a little and living my best life!
